In terms of technology, this chronograph is the first in its series featuring DIAPAL Technology and a lubricant-free escapement. We use special combinations of materials that create no friction, even without lubrication, thus ensuring the long-term accuracy of the movement.

A second technology in the 144 Ti DIAPAL is a major innovation for a mechanical watch: thanks to Ar-Dehumidifying Technology, the movement is kept in an environment that is almost completely dry.

But there are a few more things you should know: for example, that we use a first-class Swiss movement, as in all our timepieces. In this case it's a Valjoux 7750 to be precise. This guarantees the highest standards of accuracy. The movement is well-protected by the solid, compact case with sapphire crystal glass. Other features include a small second counter, 12-hour counter, jumping 30-minute counter and a stopwatch second hand in the center. All this is complemented by the useful tachymeter / pulsometer scale and a date display that also shows the weekday.

One of the most successful sneaker boutiques in Europe and a traditional mechanical watch manufacturer: a good combination? Of course. The 144 St Sa C.A.D. model, which Asphaltgold and Sinn Spezialuhren have launched together, is a clear demonstration. The timepiece combines the best of both worlds and is contemporary and classic in equal measure. What also unites the two creators from Hessen: sneakers and watches are emotionally charged collector’s items – particularly when they have exclusivity, such as the special edition 144 St Sa C.A.D., which is limited to 100 pieces.

For the watch’s harmonious colour combination, both partners drew inspiration from iconic jerseys from US team sports. The dial of the 144 St Sa C.A.D. is creamy white, making this special edition the first 144 with a light-coloured dial. It is decorated with the Asphaltgold logo, which is also found on the rotor. Thanks to the sapphire crystal glass in front and back, it is wonderful to look at. The internal tachymeter scale also features the corporate slogan “Culture. Aesthetics. Dedication”. This look is the perfect stage for showcasing the black luminous indices as well as the hour, minute and second hands, complemented by the colour of the green chronograph hands. As a sports chronograph, the watch also features high-performance internal values, such as resistance to low pressure, water resistance and pressure resistance to 20 bar.

Launched in 1974, model 144 is one of the most traditional watches in our range.

To mark our company’s 60th anniversary, we are now introducing a special limited edition of 600 timepieces in the form of the 144 St S Anniversary II. This model clearly demonstrates the timelessness of our instrumental, technical watches. The 144 St S Anniversary II is also a fine example of how we are constantly developing our classic timepieces. For example, the old 144 featured a black chrome-plated case with mineral glass and was only pressure-resistant up to 5 bar.

The 144 St S Anniversary II takes things to the next level in many respects. For instance, this timepiece is equipped with a wide range of technical features, is resistant to low pressure, waterproof and can withstand pressures of up to 20 bar. Ar-Dehumidifying Technology ensures greater functional reliability and freedom from fogging. The bead-blasted surface of the stainless-steel case has also been hardened using TEGIMENT Technology, making it especially scratch-resistant. This type of technology forms the basis for the high-quality Black Hard Coating. Typical of a 144, our anniversary edition also features a combined tachymeter and pulsometer scale.

The prominent positioning and intuitive readability of the white counters for the stopwatch minutes and seconds give this anniversary edition a modern look, without forsaking its traditional feel. As a reminiscence of the company's anniversary, the number 60 of the pulsometer scale has been applied in orange-red daylight luminous paint.

One of the most traditional series from the house of Sinn Spezialuhren celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2014: the 144. To mark this special occasion, a limited edition of 300 sports chronographs is being produced in the 144 St S Jubilee series with Black Hard Coating. The two engravings ‘40 Jahre’ and ‘Eine von 300’ on the back, document and mark the occasion. The chronograph 144 St S Jubilee features a solid bracelet with Black Hard Coating on a TEGIMENT Technology base.

The style and design of the watch follows on from its predecessor, the popular black chrome-plated 144 St S. However, the 144 St S Jubilee is more technically advanced, as the chronograph combines several of the latest SINN technologies. For example, the surface of the beadblasted stainless-steel case is hardened using TEGIMENT Technology, making it especially scratch-resistant. This TEGIMENT case surface also provides the base for the Black Hard Coating (PVD coating), which is much more robust than the simple black chrome plating used in the previous model. Additional technology, i.e. Ar-Dehumidifying Technology, ensures greater functional reliability and freedom from fogging.
