The pilot chronographs in the 103 series immediately reveal what they were created for: uncompromising functionality. Following in our company’s tradition, the design principles of an on-board instrument were the inspiration here. After all, the company’s first watches were mechanical cockpit clocks for professional use.

With a diameter of 41 mm, the polished stainless-steel case exudes high-quality, sophisticated functionality. Connoisseurs will notice another subtlety: the sapphire crystal glass. Theanti-reflective coating on both sides ensures a clear view of the striking dial, which was designed in ocean petrol for this special edition in the Commerzbank corporate design. In addition, the stopwatch hands are finished in yellow, the corporate colour of Commerzbank. The glass back is also made of sapphire crystal, allowing the mechanical movement and winding rotor – complete with limited-edition number engraving – to be admired in all their intricacy.

The pilot’s bezel with minute ratcheting can be rotated on both sides and is securely attached to the case. Its pilot’s bezel is a luminous triangle. The watch is water-resistant to DIN 8310, resistant to low pressure and pressure-resistant up to 20 bar. The chronograph comes in a fine wooden case with a fine-link bracelet and a leather strap with ocean petrol-coloured stitching individually adapted to this special edition.

With a limited edition of 100 watches, the 103 St Sa for Commerzbank is the result of a partnership between two renowned, long-established Frankfurt companies.

On the one hand, an eye-catching dial contrast, a matt black anodised, unusual aluminium rotating bezel and a highly domed shock-resistant acrylic glass. On the other hand, technical features such as low pressure resistance, water resistance and pressure resistance up to 20 bar: the 103 St Classic C model effortlessly balances historical design with contemporary technical values.

This special edition, which is limited to 200 pieces, has become a true favourite, thanks primarily to its appearance. Experts classify timepieces such as the 103 St Classic C, which combine black totalizers with a bright – in this case silver-electroplated – dial, as “Panda watches”. The models from the middle of the last century achieved a cult-like status among many watch lovers - also because their striking contrast was entirely in the service of optimised readability.

In terms of construction, the 103 St Classic C achieves this with the symmetrical Tri-Compax division of the totalizers for the subsidiary seconds at nine o’clock, the stopwatch minute at three o’clock and the stopwatch hour at six o’clock. Another important tool for measuring time intervals is the 12-hour countdown rotating bezel with luminous key mark, which rotates in both directions. Speaking of luminescence: for clear readability, even in the dark, the rhodium-plated indices and hour and minute hands are also filled with luminous paint.

A brown horsehide strap with a pin buckle deliberately contrasts the vintage design of the dial in colour and thus completes the iconographic overall appearance of this unique watch.

The 103 is more closely connected to our company than just about any other series. After all, it was these timepieces that acquainted pilots, in particular, with the name Sinn Spezialuhren once the company was founded. The first model was developed in the mid-1960s, at that time equipped with acrylic glass and hand-wound movement. These watches can still be found in the range today, underlining their timeless design and huge popularity with many watch lovers. We’ve also continuously expanded the series, adding, for example, the latest SINN technologies and other features.

Classic in every sense of the word, this pilot chronograph is the perfect celebration of our company’s 60th anniversary – in the form of a special edition limited to 600 pieces. The 103 Classic 12 lives up to its reputation as a classic timepiece, but also boasts a modern interpretation, as demonstrated, for example, by the bezel insert made from ceramic – a material which appears for the first time on the 103 and is characterised by its outstanding hardness and the resulting exceptional scratch resistance. Another visual feature is the captive bezel itself, which features a twelve-hour scale to display a second time zone. The engraved numerals on the bezel are the colour of chamois, which is reflected in the three counters, all the printed elements and the luminous colour. The attached appliqués are rhodium-plated and luminous, as are the hour, minute and stopwatch second hands.

Even the place of origin of the watch is mentioned by name. The ‘Sinn Frankfurt am Main’ lettering thus adorns the glossy black dial with decorative sunburst to mark the anniversary. Both the crystal and the transparent back are made from high-quality sapphire crystal, enabling fascinating glimpses into the delicate work of the mechanical movement.

The 103 Classic 12 edition is waterproof and pressure-resistant up to 20 bar, resistant to low pressure and equipped with Ar-Dehumidifying Technology for enhanced functional reliability and freedom from fogging.

To mark the special occasion, the edge of the glass back features the limited-edition number as well as the engravings ‘1961-2021’ and ‘60 Jahre’. The watch comes in a fine case with a dark green strap of wild boar leather and a cowhide strap with alligator embossing in black.

The 103 Sa G is a traditional pilot chronograph with an extraordinary design. Its eye-catching features include the dial in shimmering metallic-green, the green bidirectional rotating pilot’s bezel in anodised aluminium and the day and date display, also in green. This colour scheme is applied consistently throughout, providing the timepiece with an aesthetic balance.

Another special feature is the high-quality crystal. Here we use a high-domed sapphire crystal glass with a profile similar to that of traditional acrylic glass. Using specially made grinding tools, the sapphire crystal glass is ground out of a solid blank approximately 5 mm thick with five different curvature radii and is then carefully polished. This complex process offers outstanding benefits, making the sapphire crystal glass highly resistant and maintaining the classic appearance without losing the functional character of the watch.

The 103 Sa G is limited to 500 pieces, which is documented by the ‘Eine von 500’ (‘One of 500’) engraving on the transparent back ring. This timepiece is, of course, resistant to low pressure and pressure-resistant to 20 bar.

The 103 Sa B E is an incomparable Sinn classic in more ways than one.

For example, this magnificent timepiece is clearly reminiscent of historical pilot watches with its luminous ivory-coloured coating on the hands, numerals and indices. An effect that is also emphasised by classic blue. This is the first time we have used it in one of our watches for both the dial with sunburst decoration and for the anodised aluminium pilot’s bezel. It also gives the pilot chronograph a modern feel, without detracting from the functional character of the watch.

Another special feature is the high-quality crystal. The profile of the highly curved sapphire crystal glass is similar to traditional acrylic glass. This sapphire crystal glass is ground out from an approximately 5 mm solid blank with five different curvature radii, and carefully polished. The grinding tools required to produce it have been made especially. The result of this complex process not only preserves the classic look of the glass, it also makes it highly resilient.

The 103 Sa B E is limited to 500 pieces, which is documented by the ‘Eine von 500’ (one of 500) engraving on the rotor. Naturally, the watch offers high-tech features typical of a SINN watch. For example, resistance to low pressure and pressure resistance up to 20 bar.

When our company was founded in 1961 it concentrated mainly on producing pilot's chronographs and navigation cockpit clocks. An early classic, and one which is still in our range today, is the 103 series. We have produced the 103 CLASSIC in a limited edition of just 500 timepieces. Based on the legendary 103 A, it features the aesthetically balanced, V-shaped Tri-Compax arrangement of counters.

The styling is modelled on that of its classic predecessor, however the state-of-the-art technologies are up to the very latest SINN standards. The 103 Classic has a captive pilot's bezel with minute ratcheting and Ar-Dehumidifying Technology to prevent fogging and increase functional reliability. The face covering is made of sapphire crystal. The 103 CLASSIC is high-altitude resistant and can withstand pressures of up to 20 bar.

Black anodised aluminium rotating bezel, high-domed acrylic glass: the roots of this exclusive special edition for the specialist watch magazine Chronos run deep into the traditional pilot chronographs of the 1960s.

What immediately catches the eye of any connoisseur is the clearly designed dial. Reverse panda is the name given to the striking contrast between the matt silk, black electroplated dial and silver counters, which are modelled on the iconic panda dials. With their light dials and black counters, the focus of these mid-last-century classics was entirely on improved readability.

The silver reverse panda counters for the stopwatch minutes and the sweep second hand on the 103 St C capture this clear readability in their reversed colours. The pilot’s bezel can also be used to read off stop times of up to one hour.

By reducing the number of counters to two horizontally arranged bicompax subdials, the result is a balanced dial design with an additional elaborate detail: finely grooved counters that have been hollowed out to make them recessed. The case itself is made of polished stainless steel with a satinised back.

The overall impression of a classic pilot chronograph, whose production we have limited to 100 pieces in tribute to its history, is perfected by the brown vintage-style cowhide strap with black decorative stitching.
