The first Frankfurt Financial District Watch was unveiled in 1999 and marked a landmark decision for our company. Up until then, the name Sinn Spezialuhren had been synonymous with innovative timepieces specially designed for pilot and diving missions. The expansion towards classic, elegant series proved to be hugely popular with our customers. An inherent combination of watchmaking craftsmanship and distinctly traditional aesthetics defines the style of our 1739 Ag B model. The eyes are drawn to the electroplated blue dial exquisitely decorated with a sunburst finish. Reduced to a minimum, the design focuses on the essentials – the hour and minute display. The resulting clarity, skilfully combined with the polished, rhodium-plated appliqués meticulously attached by hand, conveys a harmonious overall appearance.

It was therefore only logical for us to capture the elegance of this two-handed watch in a case made of special material: 935 Argentium* silver alloy. The advantage of this over traditional precious metal is that rather than tarnishing and blackening like normal silver, Argentium* forms a protective germanium oxide surface layer. This layer considerably slows down the tarnishing process. Instead, a golden hue develops, which can be removed with an Argentium* care cloth.

And because we know that looking at the mechanics of the movement is just as important as looking at the dial for many watch lovers, we have equipped the 1739 Ag B with a transparent back made of sapphire crystal glass. Therefore, just as much attention can be devoted to the fascinating movement as to the watch dial.

This exceptionally beautiful timepiece comes in an elegant case containing two Argentium* care cloths. This, in addition to the fact that the watch is water-resistant and pressure-resistant up to 10 bar as well as resistant to low pressure, ensures long-lasting enjoyment of an exceptional timepiece.

The 1739 World Heritage Darmstadt model is an extraordinary special edition that recognises the Mathildenhöhe Darmstadt’s status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The design of the dial and hands of the 1739 World Heritage Darmstadt model was inspired by the two clocks on the Wedding Tower at Mathildenhöhe.

The 910 SRS is a particularly stylish watch characterised by sophisticated horological details. For example, the stopwatch also features a flyback chronograph function, which allows the chronograph’s hand to be stopped, reset to zero, and restarted by pushing the reset button at 4 o’clock. The continuous stop-seconds hand in particular can be reset to zero with the single push of a button and instantly restarted without losing time. The advantage of this is accurate time measurement down to the last second of consecutive time intervals. Another term for flyback is ‘reset in flight’.

The time on this watch is stopped by a traditional column wheel chronograph. The column wheel chronograph is a complication of sophisticated craftsmanship, with a tradition dating back to the mid 1900s when the column wheel control mechanism was a key component in traditional chronographs.

Such a complication is extremely complex to produce and requires the utmost care and precision in assembly. Since the column wheel controls the start, stop and reset functions, it is subject to high levels of stress. The highest possible resistance to wear and tear is required in order to make full use of the benefits, for example an easy-to-operate push-piece.

Attached appliqués and polished, shiny chamfers on the counter rings, which correspond harmoniously with the polished glass rim, underline the high-quality aesthetics of this timepiece. The first Frankfurt Financial District Watch is a testament to our strong roots in Frankfurt am Main and the special relationship we have with this location. This close affiliation is also reflected in our decision to base our new headquarters in the city once again.

We see the 1746 Heimat as an homage to this city. The extremely fine rhodiumcoated relief dial is inspired by the traditional diamond pattern of Frankfurt’s popular cider glasses, also known as Gerippte. The three-dimensional diamond pattern creates an incredibly vibrant interplay of light and shade on the cider glasses.

A close look at the relief on the dial of the 1746 Heimat reveals this watch to be just as vibrant and three-dimensional, with a wide range of surface characteristics from polished to matt silk. This effect is a result of the electroforming technique used in the production process. This method allows complex three-dimensional surface structures to be achieved with a high degree of precision. The relief dial is coated with rhodium, a precious metal similar to platinum, which gives the dial an exquisite silver-white shine.

And of course, we have also made this watch pressure-resistant up to 10 bar and resistant to low pressure.

Founded in 1746, the white gold of Hesse of the Höchst Porzellanmanufaktur in the western part of Frankfurt is one of the finest examples of artistic European craftsmanship. These mechanical precision watches with hand-painted dials made of the finest Höchst porcelain of this watch model were created through collaborative development. Art and watch lovers can choose from traditional and contemporary motifs in various colors. The watch is particularly suitable for stylish customization. The roots of model 6012 run deep into our traditional Frankfurt Financial District Watches, which were launched in 1999 with model 6000. The 6012 clearly demonstrates how we have continued to develop the series over the past 20 years and equip the various timepieces with remarkable features.

Model 6012 is the first to feature the Sinn SZ06 movement. Thanks to this complex factory modification, we were able to combine the stopwatch minute counter with 60-second scale and the full calendar display with a moon phase display. This also ensures optimum readability, as the stopwatch minutes from 0 to 60 can easily be read.

For the moon discs on the moon phase display we use real mother-of-pearl. Due to the special, naturally occurring surface structure, mother-of-pearl creates a matt iridescent finish, which enhances the elegance of the watch.

As a clear indication of our roots and reference to our home town, a stylish engraving of the Frankfurt skyline adorns the rotor of the fine, exquisitely decorated movement.
